The Day of Hungarian Culture
The Day of Hungarian Culture is celebrated annually on January 22nd to commemorate the day in 1823 when Ferenc Kölcsey finalized the manuscript of the Hungarian National Anthem in Szatmárcseke. This occasion offers an opportunity to reflect on our cultural heritage and highlight the importance of preserving our cultural values.
What to Expect?
The Directorate of Zalaegerszeg Museums is once again preparing for this special day with the program titled *Snapshots*. During the event, visitors can gain insight into the latest research findings and the inner workings of the institutions, covering a wide range of topics from archaeological excavations to historical, art historical, ethnographic, restoration, and museum education work.
