As part of the archaeological excavations currently underway within the Roman inner fortress at Keszthely-Fenékpuszta, we invite visitors to an Open Day at the excavation. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the latest discoveries from this year’s excavation and explore the history of the Roman fortress of Fenékpuszta.

Location
Roman fortress ruins next to the Manor of Keszthely-Fenékpuszta.
The excavation site is easily accessible by both car and bicycle.
Arriving by Car
Please use the designated parking areas. Parking is free of charge.
Registration
Participation is free of charge, but due to the expected high level of interest, advance registration is required.
Good to Know
We reserve the right to change the programme. In the event of heavy rain or adverse weather conditions, the Open Day will be cancelled.
Before or after the Open Day, we recommend visiting the Fenékpuszta Manor Exhibition Site and the nearby Little Balaton Visitor Centre.
