Getting To Our Locations
Parking by Car
If you are arriving by car at the Göcseji Museum, you can use the Galamb Street parking area next to the ZTE Arena, located approximately 300 metres away, while the Göcseji Open-Air Museum has its own parking facility.
By Bus
Charter buses may also use the Galamb Street parking area next to the ZTE Arena, located 300 metres from the Göcseji Museum. The Göcseji Open-Air Museum parking area can also accommodate buses.
If you arrive by scheduled bus service, you should get off at the Zalaegerszeg bus station. The Göcseji Museum is approximately 300 metres away and can be reached within a few minutes on foot in the direction of St. Mary Magdalene Church.
The easiest way to reach the Göcseji Open-Air Museum is by taking local bus routes 1, 6, or 14. Get off at the Ola Cemetery stop, then walk approximately 350 metres along Falumúzeum Street.
By Train
The Göcseji Museum is located approximately 1.5 kilometres from the Zalaegerszeg railway station. If you do not mind a longer walk, head towards the city centre on foot.
The Göcseji Open-Air Museum is approximately 3 kilometres from the railway station.
You can also make the journey easily by taking bus routes 1, 4, 10C, 14, 20, or 24. If you choose this option, get off at the Kovács Károly Square stop. The museum is located approximately 200 metres away, next to St. Mary Magdalene Church.
The Göcseji Open-Air Museum can also be reached from the railway station by bus routes 1 and 18.
To return to the railway station, take bus routes 3 or 13 from the bus stop in front of the Mindszentyneum.
Accessible Parking
In Batthyány Street, directly in front of the Göcseji Museum, there are three free accessible parking spaces reserved for visitors with disabilities or reduced mobility.
At the Göcseji Open-Air Museum, ample parking is available, although there are no specifically designated accessible parking spaces.
