In accordance with Hungarian legislation (Government Decree 132/2011 (VII.18.)), the permanent exhibitions may be visited free of charge by visitors under 26 years of age and children under 18 accompanied by up to two close relatives (for Hungarian and EEA citizens) as follows:
- During the summer opening period: every second Sunday of the month
- During the winter opening period: every second Saturday of the month

- HungaryCard holders receive a 15% discount on full-price admission tickets during the validity period of the card.
- For group visits, advance bank transfer payment is also available, after which an invoice will be issued.
Free Admission
The exhibitions of the Göcseji Museum, the Göcseji Open-Air Museum and the Mindszentyneum may be visited free of charge:
(Service fee payment is mandatory even for visitors entitled to free admission.)
- Children under 6 years of age and adults over 70 years of age;
- Active teachers working in public education with a valid teacher ID for the current school year (only if the educational institution is located within the EEA);
- Everyone on Hungary’s national holidays (15 March, 20 August, and 23 October);
- One accompanying person of a visitor with a disability;
- Holders of a professional admission pass issued by the Minister;
- Holders of international professional cards (ICOM, ICOMOS);
- Members of nationwide professional public collection organizations with at least 400 members (Pulszky Society – Hungarian Museum Association, Hungarian Librarians’ Association, Association of Hungarian Archivists);
- Holders of the professional pass of the Association of Hungarian Rural Museums;
- Holders of a valid Burgenland Card.
Free admission benefits are available to Hungarian citizens and citizens of the European Economic Area (EEA).
Visitors with disabilities may visit the exhibitions of the Göcseji Museum free of charge and without paying the service fee.
